Handwriting

Handwriting is more than putting pencil to paper—it’s a vital skill that supports learning, communication, and confidence. At Primrose Pediatric Therapy, our occupational therapy staff help children develop the foundational motor and cognitive skills needed to write clearly and effectively.

Through fun, hands-on activities, we work on building hand strength, coordination, posture, and pencil control, while also addressing letter formation, spacing, and overall writing fluency. Our approach is tailored to each child’s needs, whether they are just beginning to write, struggling with legibility, or needing extra support for classroom success. Our therapists are trained to provide pencil and/or paper modifications and adaptations for children with varying disabilities and deficits to maximize their independence and success.

By strengthening handwriting skills, we empower children to express themselves, keep up with educational demands, and feel more confident in their abilities.
